Ebondeath

 


21 Marpenoth, 1489 DR



     We all slept in before heading to the tower in town. Apparently Gallio had solved the wizards notes and recreated the planar beacon in hopes of capturing creatures from it to use to defend the town from attacks. In the end it was a lie and he just wanted to get some rune stone in the plane that we could now access. The ghosts that Poppy had been seeing around town suddenly appeared before us to stop Gallio. The ghosts introduced themselves as Augusta Krul (Human) and Ogri Ninebeards (Dwarf). They were apart of a group called "The Swords of Leilon" and had died protecting the town from the wizard Thalivar, who first made the planar beacon. We listened to their wishes and destroyed the beacon before meeting up with Crowley and learning about the information he found while at the library. The necromancer was hard to search on and the only info was their favorite flower, Pickerelweed. Poppy and I knew this flower was found in swamps so we all set out to the near by swamp, The Mere of Dead Men.

     Finding the necromancer we stopped him and his wraiths, took his head back to the dragon and secured Leilon's safety. Or so we thought. Suddenly the dragon started to spasm on the floor as a dark mist entered her body, possessing the dragon and announcing itself as Chardansearavitrill the Ebondeath. The dragon flew out of the cave as we followed after, heading back to Leilon. When we arrived the town was being attacked from all sides by zombies and Talos cultists. We jumped in to help.

13 Alturiak 1489 DR Today we decided to do some shopping. Catscratch went off on his own to who knows where while Luna and I visited the Shrine of Luck. Luna gave a coin in hopes for some good luck. If she wants to waste her coin on such things, by all means. But luck isn't going to help you survive in this world. Catscratch quickly appeared before us and even brought someone I've never seen before, a tall cat with a leafy looking cloak. A Tabaxi, I believe they're called. The Book Thief (Part 2)

22 Eleint 1489 DR We finally met up with the head librarian and he told us about some of his staff missing. He told us to check the archives since that's where the two were suppose to be on duty today. The archives were huge but we found the area. We were too late once we noticed the dead body hunched over a table with piles of books. We did notice two of the books that were stolen were now open on the table with pages ripped out about the Pool of Radiance. Suddenly, a shockwave and rumble rang through out the archives as all the book cases toppled over. A hole was blown into a wall and we went to investigate. We found a room with old, burnt, books and were attacked by shadows. Luna was downed quickly while the rest of us finished them off. With Luna back on her feet, we hurried through another hole in the wall and ended up in the sewers. Luna caused these giant centipedes to fall asleep as we snuck by. Fairy Dust

30 Alturiak 1489 DR We've finally reached Red Larch. I was pretty familiar with the area since it's so close to the city of Yartar and, well, my ruins. We decided to help out some guy by killing wolves for pelts. As we entered the Krypt Garden Forest, we ran into a small pixie named Quill and his hedgehog steed Spike. This pixie wanted us to help him find a magical well that apparently heals any mounds. His wings were broken so he was hoping to get them fixed. We agreed to help in the morning as Quill lead us to the fairy trees. Small houses hung from branches. This was my first time ever seeing fairies before and never knew if they truly existed or not. I did barter for a rune stone. Pretty sure I got fire. Time to camp out. Guess I have first watch. In the morning we headed off deeper into the forest. It was darker and quieter, even with the sun high in the sky. Kinda reminded me of the forest surrounding the tribe. Theres nothing to fear in the dark, I've found out. ...
