Like Father, Like Son

11 Alturiak 1490 DR We were given a boat to help us sail up north to the Sea of Moving Ice. The captain, Half-Face, would also be our translator for the natives living in the area. The trip was peaceful and only took about a week for us to get there. We docked on an iceberg and slowly made our way to the small native village. The villagers were hostile and wanted us gone. Rain was able to communicate with the tribes' Druid and asked questions about Maccath's whereabouts. No one would tell us but we did learn about a dragon living in the area. We also learned of another outsider (like ourselves) living among the tribe. At that moment Catscratch used a spell to contact his dad. A portal opened up and we could see a Kenku holding a bow and arrow aimed at our own backs. We turned around to see the same bird perched up high on the rib cage bone  of a large creature. He jumped down and walked past us, speaking only in noises. Catscratch motioned for us to follow his dad into one o...

Council Meeting

1 Alturiak 1490 DR We were summoned to Waterdeep by Leosin (the monk we saved) and taken to be a part of a council meeting that all the factions were going to be a part of. The leaders sat at a large, round table and we were told to sit on the steps behind our chosen factions. Dire and I sat next to each other in The Lords Alliance section trying to ignore the intense stares from others sitting behind us. Catscratch sat next to Crath across from us in the Zhentarim section while Rain, Luna, and Winny sat in their respective areas (Emerald Enclave, Order of the Gauntlet, and Harpers). When we all settled in, the leaders introduced themselves: Remallia Haventree- Harpers (Elf) Ontharr Frume- Order of the Gauntlet (Dwarf) Delaan Winterhound- Emerald Enclave (Human) Lord Neverember- Lords Alliance (Human) Rian Nightshade- Zhentarim (Tiefling) They talked about our past actions and some concerns about Catscratch and Luna. Mainly Luna since she's not actually from this world and was on...

Castle in the Sky (part 2)

5 Hammer 1490 DR After our well deserved rest we continued on into the castle. Luna was attacked by a stone golem but Catscratch remembered the password Talis told us and saved us a fight. We explored every room before finally finding and attacking Razmir. Luna ran in and was attacked by a magic rug. Dire and Catscratch fought the two guard drakes while Luna broke out of the rugs grasp and I went for Rezmir herself. She casted some sort of darkness spell which made things a little harder but in the end we finished her off. A chest revealed the indent of where a Dragon Mask would have been but thanks to our magic users they were able to tell that the mask had been teleported away once Rezmir was killed. A loud alarm also rang out. Luna disguised herself as Rezmir and tried to trick those who asked about the alarm. Not sure it worked on the Red Wizard though. We decided to split up to cover more ground. Luna and I would head up the stairs, escorted by kobolds, to the control room w...

Castle in the Sky

4 Hammer 1490 DR Waterdeep is a huge city, bigger than any city I've ever been in. It's honestly slightly intimidating. We arrived in the morning feeling the cold winter wind beating against us. The cultists stopped at an Inn and we decided to spy on them. Not much activity happened besides them talking to some workers. The following day we followed them up north and into the Mere of Dead Men. Nothing like trekking through another swamp to remind us of our Phlan days. The cultists arrived at a small outpost and we decided to sneak in as cultists ourselves. I don't think anyone suspected otherwise. Rain and Catscratch were able to break into the safe room thanks to Luna and Winny's amazing musical performance. One by one we snuck into the room, Cwl distracting the guard to help our chances. We found a secret tunnel and traveled a ways through the swamp until we eventually reach the "abandoned" castle. We fought tons of Bullywugs and Lizardmen, these monsters ...

Happy New Year

16 Uktar- 30 Nightal, 1489 DR Today we headed over to the cults camp to save Leosin (the man we were looking for). Luna and Winny went in through the front while Catscratch, Dire, and Rain (in mouse form) snuck in through the back by using a rope to climb down the rocky hill side. I sat at the top of the plateau as a look out with Cwl. Eventually they found Leosin and we safely escorted him back to Greenest. He thanked us and asked if we could go back to the camp to destroy some dragon eggs. We agreed to meet him in Elturel after the job was done. The caves that held the eggs were filled with enemies and monsters. We ran into two more of the Wearers of Purple and were almost all killed. We finally destroyed the eggs and made are way to the city of Elturel. The city was large and had a bright ball of light hovering above it, almost like a second sun. We met up with Leosin and his Dwarf companion at the Black Antler tavern. We gave him all the information we gained and were assigne...

Greenest

15 Uktar 1489 DR We were sent to the town of Greenest (south of Phandalin) to find a man named Leosin Erlanthar. He apparently has some information about the Cult of the Dragons. As we arrived to the town, we were welcomed by screams and fire. We hurried inside and helped as many people as we could as well as fight off all the cultists we ran into.  We made it to the keep and a man, Governor Nighthill, asked us to help his town from the raid. We first cleared a group near the secret tunnels and then headed to the people hiding out in the church. Catscratch and Rain really showed off their skills in this battle. I was also surprised that Dire, a Tiefling Cleric that Sildar introduced us to back in Phandalin, was so good at throwing rapiers into enemies from a far distance. Back at the keep, a Blue Dragon appeared overhead and used his lighting breath against us. It was extremely powerful and almost killed us all. Thankfully Rain learned this new group healing spell and saved ...
