Happy New Year

 

16 Uktar- 30 Nightal, 1489 DR



Today we headed over to the cults camp to save Leosin (the man we were looking for). Luna and Winny went in through the front while Catscratch, Dire, and Rain (in mouse form) snuck in through the back by using a rope to climb down the rocky hill side. I sat at the top of the plateau as a look out with Cwl. Eventually they found Leosin and we safely escorted him back to Greenest. He thanked us and asked if we could go back to the camp to destroy some dragon eggs. We agreed to meet him in Elturel after the job was done.

The caves that held the eggs were filled with enemies and monsters. We ran into two more of the Wearers of Purple and were almost all killed. We finally destroyed the eggs and made are way to the city of Elturel. The city was large and had a bright ball of light hovering above it, almost like a second sun. We met up with Leosin and his Dwarf companion at the Black Antler tavern. We gave him all the information we gained and were assigned the task to head to Boulders Gate to find and join a caravan that the cult was going to be in. 

Wanting to have some fun before we left, we decided to join the "Festival of the Hunt" that the city had going on. Catscratch and I were a team as Luna, Winny and Dire teamed up as well. Some of the monsters were quite challenging but "Team Birb"* ended up winning in the end. First prize was a Rainbow Rapier and second was a magical comb. Catscratch wanted the comb so we traded the Rapier for it.

We continued on the the city of Baulders Gate. Luna and Dire noticed the cultists and we got hired as guards for an Elf woman. We continued on with the caravan until taking a short break in another city. We ran into Crath again (who was tailing a Red Wizard) and found out the cultists and Red Wizard knew each other.

Through out the trip the cultists attacked us, even stabbing Dire in his sleep. Before killing them, Winny  was able to get some intel with a spell of hers. Guess we're heading north. But first, tonight we celebrate. It's the final night before the new year and I'm glad to be spending it with all my new companions. Im not alone anymore and I've been accepted by those most important to me now. Hopefully the new year brings good memories as well.

13 Alturiak 1489 DR Today we decided to do some shopping. Catscratch went off on his own to who knows where while Luna and I visited the Shrine of Luck. Luna gave a coin in hopes for some good luck. The Book Thief (Part 2)

22 Eleint 1489 DR We finally met up with the head librarian and he told us about some of his staff missing. He told us to check the archives since that's where the two were suppose to be on duty today. The archives were huge but we found the area. We were too late once we noticed the dead body hunched over a table with piles of books. We did notice two of the books that were stolen were now open on the table with pages ripped out about the Pool of Radiance. Suddenly, a shockwave and rumble rang through out the archives as all the book cases toppled over. A hole was blown into a wall and we went to investigate. We found a room with old, burnt, books and were attacked by shadows. Luna was downed quickly while the rest of us finished them off. With Luna back on her feet, we hurried through another hole in the wall and ended up in the sewers. Luna caused these giant centipedes to fall asleep as we snuck by. Fairy Dust

30 Alturiak 1489 DR We've finally reached Red Larch. I was pretty familiar with the area since it's so close to the city of Yartar and, well, my ruins. We decided to help out some guy by killing wolves for pelts. As we entered the Krypt Garden Forest, we ran into a small pixie named Quill and his hedgehog steed Spike. This pixie wanted us to help him find a magical well that apparently heals any mounds. His wings were broken so he was hoping to get them fixed. We agreed to help in the morning as Quill lead us to the fairy trees. Small houses hung from branches. This was my first time ever seeing fairies before and never knew if they truly existed or not. I did barter for a rune stone. Pretty sure I got fire. Time to camp out. Guess I have first watch. In the morning we headed off deeper into the forest. It was darker and quieter, even with the sun high in the sky. Kinda reminded me of the forest surrounding the tribe. Theres nothing to fear in the dark, I've found out. ...
