Boys are Back in Town

 

25 Alturiak 1490 DR



Rain, Luna and Catscratch went with Glass Shatter to find some animals Rain could potentially morph into while Dire, Winny and I stayed behind to nap and relax in the tent a little while longer. Besides, there was a literal blizzard outside. I've honestly had enough of the cold.

A couple hours later they returned and Rain told us she received a letter from Leosin about the Dwarf with the White Dragon Mask. He was last seen heading towards the Boareskyr Bridge. Catscratch hugged his dad goodbye as we once again headed back to Waterdeep.

On the boat ride back, Luna had a horrible vision of a war and lava on the battle field. This wasn't the first vision she's had so it seems her visions may tell us of what's to come.

Once we arrive back in Waterdeep we split from Maccath and decided to do some shopping. The group all bought new magic weapons, Rain finally got all the supplies she'd been searching for for a staff she wanted to make, and I bought a few healer's kits. Since the new weapons needed to be attuned to everyone, we decided to head to a tavern and eat while Catscratch did his magic stuff. I might have gotten a little drunk from the ale we ordered but I remember us getting a room at an Inn afterwords.

The next day Rain made us some sort of herb drink to help with the hangovers. I asked Rain about it and learned a good amount about the components. Glad I got to learn about new herbs.

Dire went out on a date with Maccath and ended up giving her some promise ring. I guess the Tieflings are a thing now. Anyway, we're heading off to Boareskyr Bridge now to search for the Dwarf, Varram the White. Hopefully the trip goes smoothly.

13 Alturiak 1489 DR Today we decided to do some shopping. Catscratch went off on his own to who knows where while Luna and I visited the Shrine of Luck. Luna gave a coin in hopes for some good luck. The Book Thief (Part 2)

22 Eleint 1489 DR We finally met up with the head librarian and he told us about some of his staff missing. He told us to check the archives since that's where the two were suppose to be on duty today. The archives were huge but we found the area. We were too late once we noticed the dead body hunched over a table with piles of books. We did notice two of the books that were stolen were now open on the table with pages ripped out about the Pool of Radiance. Suddenly, a shockwave and rumble rang through out the archives as all the book cases toppled over. A hole was blown into a wall and we went to investigate. We found a room with old, burnt, books and were attacked by shadows. Luna was downed quickly while the rest of us finished them off. With Luna back on her feet, we hurried through another hole in the wall and ended up in the sewers. Luna caused these giant centipedes to fall asleep as we snuck by. Fairy Dust

30 Alturiak 1489 DR We've finally reached Red Larch. I was pretty familiar with the area since it's so close to the city of Yartar and, well, my ruins. We decided to help out some guy by killing wolves for pelts. As we entered the Krypt Garden Forest, we ran into a small pixie named Quill and his hedgehog steed Spike. This pixie wanted us to help him find a magical well that apparently heals any mounds. His wings were broken so he was hoping to get them fixed. We agreed to help in the morning as Quill lead us to the fairy trees. Small houses hung from branches. This was my first time ever seeing fairies before and never knew if they truly existed or not. I did barter for a rune stone. Pretty sure I got fire. Time to camp out. Guess I have first watch. In the morning we headed off deeper into the forest.
