As we arrived to Boareskyr Bridge and traveled through a tent side town, Rain stopped to ask for any information at the local tavern. When she returned she told us that Varram was seen here with a bunch of bodyguards and that he traveled north-east to the Serpent Hills. Not long after we were ambushed by some cultists who were tired of our meddling. We took them out fairly easily and continued on our way.

We arrived to a large tomb and followed Varram's tracks inside. From the talking statues to the traps, it was obvious this was the tomb of some wizard. Eventually we found some dead cultist bodies leading to a door. We decided to check out a different path and came upon a group of Bearded Devils. I panicked and hid behind Luna.

Just as I expected, they could sense my necklace. The devils lunged for me but Luna pushed me out of the room and into the hall. Luna and Dire barricaded the door and then we ran deeper into the tomb. We ran into a group of Lizard Folk and Yuan Ti as we fought our way through. As we continued to run, the ground shaking behind us from the devils, a trap was activated and needles flew out of the walls. I was able to dodge them but Luna and Dire were struck down. They were paralyzed on the ground and I used my vitality potion to save Dire.

Dire threw Luna over his shoulder and we continued on. Lizard Folk were running back and forth in a panic, ignoring our presence, since the Bearded Devils were on their way. We accidentally ended up in a large chamber where we saw the Dwarf, Varram, tied up and beaten by an inch of his life. He was on a platform with a Yuan Ti ready to sacrifice him.

We fought the Yuan Ti in front of us and the devils behind us. We almost died but barely made it alive. Rain interrogated the Dwarf and he took us to a magic pool of water. The White Dragon Mask was now in the hands of a stranger in a blue cloak. With our mission done, we made our way back to Waterdeep.

13 Alturiak 1489 DR Today we decided to do some shopping. Catscratch went off on his own to who knows where while Luna and I visited the Shrine of Luck. Luna gave a coin in hopes for some good luck. If she wants to waste her coin on such things, by all means. But luck isn't going to help you survive in this world. Catscratch quickly appeared before us and even brought someone I've never seen before, a tall cat with a leafy looking cloak. A Tabaxi, I believe they're called. She introduced herself as Rain and told us she had also been hired but was running late. She was asking around town for Gundren but found out about him missing. The Book Thief (Part 2)

22 Eleint 1489 DR We finally met up with the head librarian and he told us about some of his staff missing. He told us to check the archives since that's where the two were suppose to be on duty today. The archives were huge but we found the area. We were too late once we noticed the dead body hunched over a table with piles of books. We did notice two of the books that were stolen were now open on the table with pages ripped out about the Pool of Radiance. Suddenly, a shockwave and rumble rang through out the archives as all the book cases toppled over. A hole was blown into a wall and we went to investigate. We found a room with old, burnt, books and were attacked by shadows. Luna was downed quickly while the rest of us finished them off. With Luna back on her feet, we hurried through another hole in the wall and ended up in the sewers. Luna caused these giant centipedes to fall asleep as we snuck by. Fairy Dust

30 Alturiak 1489 DR We've finally reached Red Larch. I was pretty familiar with the area since it's so close to the city of Yartar and, well, my ruins. We decided to help out some guy by killing wolves for pelts. As we entered the Krypt Garden Forest, we ran into a small pixie named Quill and his hedgehog steed Spike. This pixie wanted us to help him find a magical well that apparently heals any mounds. His wings were broken so he was hoping to get them fixed. We agreed to help in the morning as Quill lead us to the fairy trees. Small houses hung from branches. This was my first time ever seeing fairies before and never knew if they truly existed or not. I did barter for a rune stone. Pretty sure I got fire. Time to camp out. Guess I have first watch. In the morning we headed off deeper into the forest. It was darker and quieter, even with the sun high in the sky. Kinda reminded me of the forest surrounding the tribe. Theres nothing to fear in the dark, I've found out. ...
