Gold for All

 28 Eleint 1489 DR

Was able to help heal up some people in town and got paid. It was nice to not have to kill a bunch of monsters for coin. Adventuring isn't really my thing. Of course though, the others were ready for the next job so we set out to Butterskull Ranch. We ran into some horses and a cow near the abandoned town of Conyberry. Mirbella and Togar tied them up and brought them a long as we reached the ranch. The ranch was infested with orcs but luckily for us we had Togar to translate.

Apparently the dragon in the area is taking orc territory and driving them out to civilization. Togar was able to talk his way through the ranch house until we found the rancher, Big Al. Togar got the orcs to leave and Al gave us his famous butter skulls as a reward. He also told us of a rumor about a huge pile of gold hidden in an abandoned temple south of Conyberry. We decided to check it out.

The temple was surrounded by orcs so we snuck in and found a small stash of silver and a strange key. Inaa, the Tiefling, flew up to the bell on the ceiling and found out it was covered in copper paint. The bell itself was actually pure gold! Inaa flew Mirbella up, cut the rope down, and Togar caught it from below.

We brought the bell back to Phandalin and sold it for 2,500 gp! We're rich! Kaleb hugged me and I honestly didn't even care. Coin blinds you sometimes. So with our wallets full we had an expensive meal at the Inn. It felt so good to eat something other than herbs and vegetables for once.

As long as I keep getting coin I don't mind driving everyone around as much. I can buy some new books and hopefully get new info for my potions. Don't let anyone say money can't buy you happiness because I'm feeling quite happy for the first time in a while.
