Yartar: Jewel of Dessarin

3 Eleasis, 1487 DR

Ever since I was young I had a fascination with cartography. I've been practicing and think I've finally gotten most of Yartar down. It took a while but I'm pleased with it. Even had a Dwarf in town give me some pointers. Now that I think about it, there's quite a lot of Dwarves in Yartar. I may need to try and learn some Dwarvish.

The Beginning of the End

26 Mirtul 1490 DR These last few weeks were a blur as the factions prepared for the coming war. We were given a final week to spend how we'd like before setting off to the campsite up near the area that would bring Tiamat back into our world. Most of the week was spent meditating or sparing with Cwl. I did go to Luna and Crath's wedding as well. Catscratch didn't attend as he had told us he was going back to Yartar to visit his mothers grave. After our week was up, we joined a caravan and made our way to the camp. We ran into a few familiar faces: Azam the Dragonborn who helped guide us through the Anauroch desert Lee and Cassyt from Phlan Sildar and Gundren from Phandalin Glass Shatter, Catscratch's dad. We scouted ahead and came upon the enemy. A volcanic, decimated land stood before us. Chromatic Dragons flew around a large castle as ash covered the sky. Army's of cultists and others prepared for battle. This was it. The battle was about to begin. If you are rea...

Until We Meet Again

27 Kythorn 1490 DR We entered the council meeting one last time as Lady Silverhand praised us for defeating Tiamat and essentially saving the world. We received medals of honor and were deemed hero's. I sat in the Lords Alliance section watching my friends be called up one by one. I recalled the battle a few weeks ago. The hot lava surrounding us, the chanting of the Red Wizards, the leader of the cult wearing the Red Dragon Mask, revealing himself to have been Gundren Rockseeker all along, the Dwarf we ended up saving at the beginning of all this. Once Tiamat emerged from the portal we all fought for our and the worlds lives. I remember being knocked unconscious, Cwl yelling as I fell onto the stone floor. Thankfully my friends were able to get me back up. After defeating Tiamat, we ran out as the building began to crumble around us. We hurried up the large hill as the sun began to set, the clouds parting and the rain slowing down. The enemy was retreating from the battlefield as...

Of Elves and Dragons

28 Eleint 1489 DR Lee brought a new mission for us and we hurried to the Tea Kettle Inn. We met with a cloaked man who wanted us to pretend to be the buyers of a red dragon egg and plant a magical tracking device on the seller. We decided that Luna would be the buyer as Rain pretended to be her body guard. Catscratch hid in the back of the barn ready to plant the tracker while Cwl and I would be the look out. Everything seemed to be going smoothly since we got the egg but I was surprise attacked by a Half Orc and had the wind knocked out of me. Cwl tried to warn our group but by then it was too late. They were blocked by all three of them. I staggered to my feet, climbed the building, and jumped down on the Tiefling who had Catscratch pinned to the ground. Luna (with some quick thinking) put all of them to sleep. Catscratch and Rain stayed behind as Luna and I hurried back with the egg. Apparently the egg was a fake. What a waste. Back at Lee's place, Rain entered with some Elf guy...
